1. Mould Mounting on the Injection Molding Machine
1.1 Position the Mould
Place the prepared mould stably at the designated position on the injection molding machine. Use positioning devices to ensure the mould is accurately aligned with the machine’s mounting platform, guaranteeing mould installation precision.
1.2 Connect the Cooling System
If the mould is equipped with cooling channels, correctly connect the cooling water pipes to the mould’s cooling interfaces. Ensure smooth circulation of cooling water to meet the cooling requirements after subsequent injection molding.
2. Mould Debugging
2.1 Mold Clamping Test
Start the injection molding machine’s clamping device to close the mould slowly. Observe whether the clamping process is smooth and check for interference between components. Inspect if the mould’s closing gap meets the requirements to ensure tight closure.
2.2 Inspect Circuits and Water Paths
Connect the relevant circuits, check if the resistance wire is energized normally, and measure whether the resistance value is within the specified range. Simultaneously, start the cooling system and check for water leakage to ensure the cooling system operates properly.
2.3 Set Parameters
Based on the material properties and dimensional requirements of the electrofusion pipe fittings, set appropriate injection parameters in the injection molding machine’s control system, such as injection pressure, injection speed, melting temperature, and cooling time.
3. Resistance Wire Laying (Pre-wiring Process)
3.1 Install the Core Insert
Place the core insert on the turntable of the winding device and clamp it securely using the relevant mechanism.
3.2 Lay the Resistance Wire
Wind the resistance wire coated with insulating material onto the pay-off spool of the pay-off device. Thread the resistance wire through the guide wheel of the guiding device and lead it to the winding device. Wrap one end of the resistance wire around the electrode and insert it into the electrode hole at one end of the core insert. Start the drive motor to rotate the turntable, winding the resistance wire evenly along the designed trajectory. Turn off the motor once winding is complete.
3.3 Fix the Wire Ends
Cut the resistance wire, strip the insulation from the ends, thread them through the electrodes, and wrap and insert them into the electrode hole at the other end of the core insert. A heat gun can be used to heat and melt the surface of the resistance wire for better fixation.
