This has opened up a window of deterministic growth for the industry, and the trillion dollar policy dividend is accelerating its release.

On July 8-9, 2026, the "Urban Renewal Promotion Exchange Conference" hosted by the China Real Estate Industry Association was held in Shanghai, with more than 300 practitioners from policy research, academic institutions, financial fields, industry associations, and the real estate front line attending.

He shared China Construction Engineering Corporation's strategic layout and practical experience in the field of urban renewal, and participated in the unveiling of the "Training and Learning Platform for Housing Construction Health Inspectors". This platform focuses on the safety inspection and health assessment of existing houses, establishes standardized courses and vocational ability assessment systems, and fills the talent gap in the industry.

Part 1: What is urban renewal?

At present, China's urban development has entered the era of stock, showing the characteristics of "upgrading the quality of stock" and "adjusting the incremental structure". In this context, if pipeline companies want to find the password for updating, the first thing they need to clarify is where a city's competitiveness and vitality come from? The "Revitalization Bureau · Yuanhuan City Plan" is a comprehensive service system for urban renewal based on the core concept of "People's City, People's Construction, People's City for the People", closely aligned with the national strategic orientation of "urban renewal", and established from the perspective of responding to "urban development issues".

The plan is based on the core framework of "Three Drives Six in One, Eight Dimensions Joint Revitalization", focusing on the three driving forces of "improving people's livelihoods, enhancing urban functions, and restoring urban context and ecology". It covers six product modules of water supply, drainage, electricity, gas supply, heating, and engineering services, covering eight application scenarios of "improving urban basic functions, promoting the renewal of the three old, improving community construction, improving urban functions, protecting and inheriting urban history and culture, restoring urban ecology, renovating and utilizing existing buildings, and renovating old residential areas". It aims to promote the transformation of the city from a "pipeline brand" to a "partner in urban renewal system solutions".

In the renovation project of Jianshui Ancient City in Yunnan, ERA relies on HDPE steel strip reinforced spiral corrugated pipes, supplemented by PVC-U drainage pipes and PPR water supply pipes, to improve the water supply and drainage network of 12 townships; In the renovation of Taizhou Dream Creation Park, the comprehensive pipeline network plan covering areas such as rainwater and sewage drainage, power communication, etc. was developed to revitalize old industrial areas.
