From September 25th to 29th, the 4th Global Digital Trade Expo (hereinafter referred to as "DTU") was held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. As a national-level event in the digital trade sector, this year's DTU, themed "Seeing the Innovative Future at DTU," brought together over 1,800 companies from 154 countries and regions. ERA, a representative of patent-intensive companies in the industry, debuted with several patented products with independent intellectual property rights, highlighting its outstanding achievements in materials science, structural design, and manufacturing processes.
The exhibition, spanning 155,000 square meters, featured one comprehensive themed exhibition area and seven specialized industry exhibition areas. It attracted 42,000 professional visitors, including over 11,000 international visitors, a 64% year-on-year increase, demonstrating the growing international influence of the Digital Trade Fair.
In the patent-intensive product exhibition area, themed "Innovation Drives Product Iteration, Patents Empower Industry Intelligence," ERA highlighted three core patented products: BWFRP cable protection sleeves, high-impact PVC-M double-wall corrugated pipes, and high-performance rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-UH pipes for drainage. These products showcased numerous patented achievements in material modification, structural innovation, and process optimization, attracting numerous attendees to discuss their experiences.
BWFRP cable protection sleeves
Utilizing ERA's proprietary composite material formula, this product is formed through a curing process involving pultrusion and winding, achieving an impact strength over three times that of conventional products. This casing features high strength, strong resistance to uneven settlement, and excellent flame retardancy, meeting or exceeding the requirements of DL/T802.2-2017. Its socket-and-spigot connection effectively improves construction efficiency and has been successfully applied in major projects such as the Quanzhou Airport and Wenzhou Binhai Project.
High-impact PVC-M double-wall corrugated pipe
Utilizing a unique patented formula and structural design, it achieves a ring stiffness rating of up to SN16, significantly higher than comparable materials. Through structural optimization, this pipe achieves both lightweight and high toughness, offering high impact resistance, strong resistance to uneven settlement, and a long service life. It not only excels in municipal engineering but also reduces overall construction costs. The product has been widely used in projects such as the Jiujiang Chengxi Port District sewage network renovation, the Nanjing Tiebei Sewage Treatment Plant project, and the Foshan Lishui River Basin Improvement Project.
High-Performance Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride for Drainage: PVC-UH Pipe
This product is made from high-strength polyvinyl chloride resin, lead-free, environmentally friendly stabilizers, and high-performance processing aids. Its high-performance, environmentally friendly preparation method has been awarded an invention patent. It offers high tensile and impact strength, excellent connection sealing, easy installation, and a long service life.
In particular, its unique, one-piece steel-framed rubber ring socket features a double-locking, anti-dislodgement structure, preventing the rubber ring from dislodging even in the face of non-violent damage. The material meets stringent requirements of compression set (70°C, 24 hours) ≤ 20% and tensile strength change ≤ 20% after accelerated aging at 70°C, 168 hours. This ensures excellent sealing strength even in long-term, harsh environments, ensuring reliable product quality. It is widely used in municipal drainage, sewage, and flood discharge piping systems, as well as drainage systems in agriculture, urban infrastructure, and construction.
At the exhibition, a representative from ERA Pipeline stated, "The company has always prioritized innovation as the core driving force of its development and currently holds over 800 patents. Our patented products not only hold a leading position in the domestic market but have also passed over 100 international certifications, with a patent portfolio covering major global markets."
ERA continues to increase its R&D investment, with its R&D expense ratio reaching 3.54% in 2024 and further increasing to 4.06% in the first quarter of 2025. ERA has been consistently ranked among the top 500 private enterprises in terms of R&D investment. Furthermore, ERA has established high-level R&D platforms, including a national-level enterprise technology center and a CNAS-certified laboratory. Through intelligent technologies such as unmanned factories and digital systems, ERA is comprehensively advancing digital transformation, enabling product upgrades and service optimization.
