Recently, ERA was awarded the ISO 56005 Level 3 Certificate for Innovation and Intellectual Property Management Capabilities for its outstanding innovation and intellectual property management capabilities, becoming the first company in Taizhou's plastic pipe industry and the first company in Huangyan District to obtain the certification. This marks that ERA has entered the leading echelon of global innovation and intellectual property management.

ISO56005 "Innovation Management-Guidelines for Intellectual Property Management" (hereinafter referred to as "ISO56005") is the first international standard for intellectual property management proposed and promoted by my country. This standard not only requires companies to reach international advanced levels in innovation mechanisms, intellectual property creation, application, protection and management, but also emphasizes that companies need to have continuous innovation capabilities and efficient intellectual property management systems.

Since December 2024, ERA has established the core policy of "promoting construction, reform and excellence through evaluation", and will implement ISO56005 as an important opportunity to comprehensively improve innovation and intellectual property management capabilities. After 6 months of solid preparation, start-up, construction, implementation and operation, platform evaluation and formal evaluation, it successfully passed the final review of the expert group and obtained certification.

Enterprise intellectual property management is a comprehensive and systematic project. ERA has formulated an intellectual property strategy that matches the overall business development strategy of the enterprise. For many years, it has adhered to innovation-driven and scientific management, and has made every effort to build a leading enterprise with comprehensive intellectual property competitive advantages. It optimizes the path of technological innovation, resource allocation and business chain with intellectual property as the guide, and ensures that the direction of research and development is highly consistent with the company's strategic goals. In this evaluation process, based on the advantages of the original management system, ERA combined its own business characteristics and the requirements of ISO 56005 to systematically sort out, compile and improve a complete set of intellectual property management systems including management, relevant systems and procedures, and formulated an overall strategy and mechanism for intellectual property management covering innovative activities to ensure the standardization and efficiency of intellectual property management work, and provide clear guidance and norms for innovative activities.

In the process of innovative research and development, ERA is well aware of the severity of intellectual property risks. Combined with the concepts and requirements advocated by ISO 56005, it strengthens intellectual property management and analysis and retrieval in the research and development process, promotes the smooth progress of project research and development, effectively avoids the risk of intellectual property infringement, and builds a solid line of defense for project research and development. In terms of intellectual property management, ERA gives full play to its institutional advantages, starting from the top-level design, setting up a special leadership group, coordinating the resources of various departments, and conducting comprehensive inspections on the company's intellectual property protection, information security prevention and control capabilities, etc., to ensure the efficient advancement of certification work. ERA has established an intellectual property infringement early warning mechanism and risk monitoring mechanism throughout the entire process of project establishment, R&D, procurement, production, and sales, effectively reducing intellectual property risks, and comprehensively using legal means to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises. This series of measures has created a safe and stable innovation and R&D environment, laying a solid foundation for the R&D process. Up to now, the entire group has obtained more than 800 national and international patents, and presided over or participated in the formulation and revision of more than 120 national (industry) and international standards. ERA has won many honors such as the National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise, China Patent Excellence Award, Zhejiang Province Standard Innovation Major Contribution Award, and Zhejiang Province Trade Secret Protection Demonstration Point.

The ultimate goal of innovative R&D is to achieve the transformation of technological achievements. ERA has established an efficient communication mechanism between the intellectual property department, R&D department, and marketing department to achieve rapid information circulation and sharing, ensure consensus on the most valuable technology of the organization, and accelerate the market transformation of innovative achievements. This consensus not only reduces the decision-making friction and time cost in the R&D process, but also enables ERA's technological advantages to be quickly and safely transformed into sustainable market competitive advantages and commercial value, fundamentally accelerating the output of intellectual property innovation results. For example, in response to the problems of scaling on the inner wall, poor water flow, bacterial growth, and other problems that affect water safety after long-term use of traditional household water pipes, ERA took less than half a year to innovate and develop "A Polypropylene Pipe and Its Preparation Method" and won the 2024 China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress Award. This achievement was applied to the "Gongyuan Youjia Shuxin Series", achieving three major technical breakthroughs in hydrophobicity, anti-scaling and antibacterial, allowing pure water sources to flow unimpeded, creating a triple water protection, and gaining wide attention and recognition from the market.

ERA will take this certification as a new starting point, continue to explore new paths for the deep integration of intellectual property and scientific and technological innovation, promote the efficient transformation and application of scientific and technological achievements, stimulate internal innovation momentum, inject strong impetus into ERA's high-quality development, set a new benchmark for industry development, and promote the industry's intellectual property and innovation management capabilities to a new height.
