With innovation surging like tides and intellectual property as the sail, ERA Group powers the construction of a nation strong in IP rights

Innovation Surges, IP Sets Sail

Today, intellectual property has become a pivotal engine driving rapid corporate growth. Rooted in Taizhou—a hub of

thriving private enterprise—ERA Group deeply understands the strategic value of IP rights.

With over 40 years of industry expertise, we champion innovation-led development and scientific management,

striving to build a leadership enterprise with comprehensive IP competitiveness. To date, we hold 1,346 IP assets,

including 870 patents, 456 trademarks, and 20 copyrights. Our achievements have been recognized with prestigious

honors such as:

National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise

China Outstanding Patent Award

Zhejiang Provincial Trademark & Brand Demonstration Enterprise

Zhejiang Trade Secret Protection Model Site

Top 500 Chinese Private Enterprises in R&D Investment (2024)

This strength is evidenced in our patented products. Taking "A Polypropylene Pipe and Its Preparation Method" as an

example—unlike competitors' superficial "solutions" that lack depth—ERA optimizes the inner-layer material of the

pipe structure at the source, embedding antibacterial and anti-scaling properties into the product's "DNA."

By using rubber particles as carriers and incorporating multiple nano-antibacterial and hydrophobic masterbatches,

ERA blends them with polypropylene. Through unique processing technologies such as twin-screw extrusion and

segmented temperature control, the high-speed shear and vulcanization cross-linking ensure uniform dispersion and

strong bonding of nano-antibacterial and hydrophobic particles within the polypropylene matrix. This forms an inner

layer with hydrophobic, antibacterial, and toughening properties, effectively addressing issues like bacterial growth and

scaling inside pipes while enhancing low-temperature toughness.

This achievement stems from ERA's rigorous process—from initial concept generation, design, and trial production to

final manufacturing, validation, and verification. For instance, in antibacterial and anti-scaling testing, technicians

conducted tens of thousands of simulations under real-world conditions to evaluate the pipe's microbial inhibition

and scaling resistance.

Driven by such meticulous craftsmanship, this technology has been successfully applied to ERA's "Ujia Shuxin Series"

and was honored with the Third Prize of the 2024 China Light Industry Federation Science and Technology Progress

Award for its outstanding performance.

Similarly, ERA continues to pioneer innovations in the pipeline industry by tackling one challenge after another.

Examples include:

"A Sealing Structure for Ball Valves", developed to address leakage issues caused by inadequate sealing in conventional

plastic ball valves during injection molding;

"An Anti-Odor Same-Floor Drainage System", designed to prevent sewage backflow and foul odor dispersion due to

siphonic effects.

Through relentless innovation, ERA sets the benchmark in the pipeline industry, delivering cutting-edge solutions that

redefine standards.

Behind this lies ERA's precise breakthroughs in three key capabilities: strategic IP management, comprehensive

utilization, and risk control—driving both corporate innovation and industry transformation.

In terms of strategic IP management, ERA has developed an intellectual property strategy fully aligned with its

overall business objectives. By integrating IP as a core component of corporate strategy, the company optimizes

its technological innovation pathways, resource allocation, and business chains under IP guidance. Notably, two

of its initiatives have been designated as Taizhou Municipal Patent Navigation Projects and High-Value Patent

Portfolio Development Programs, exemplifying this approach.

If the breakthroughs in core product technologies have laid a solid foundation for ERA's rapid growth and played a

decisive role, then strengthening the utilization, protection, and management of intellectual property (IP) reflects

ERA's agile approach to fostering healthy industry development.

On one hand, ERA has enhanced its comprehensive IP utilization capabilities. As a leader in China's piping industry,

ERA proactively shoulders the responsibility of advancing industry standards. The company has led or participated in

the formulation and revision of over 120 national (industry) standards and 2 international standards. Notably, the

GB/T 35451.1-2017 standard, which ERA spearheaded, was awarded the 2022 Zhejiang Provincial Major Contribution

Award for Standard Innovation. Additionally, the international standards ISO 9854-1:2023 and ISO 9854-2:2023, in

which ERA played a key role, were successfully published in 2023. These achievements further highlight the voice

and competitiveness of "Made with China's Wisdom" in the global industry.

On the other hand, ERA has strengthened its IP risk management capabilities. The company has established an IP

infringement early-warning mechanism and a risk monitoring system that covers the entire process—from project

initiation and R&D to procurement, production, and sales. This effectively mitigates IP risks while leveraging legal

measures to safeguard the company's legitimate rights and interests.

Moving forward, ERA will continue to refine its innovation and IP management systems, further enhancing its

comprehensive IP capabilities. Through these efforts, ERA is committed to contributing its expertise to the

development of China as a global leader in intellectual property.
