Mega Projects | Revitalizing Old Cities, Reconstructing Urban Spatial Patterns

Recently, at a press conference held by the State Council's Information Office, Ni Hong, the Minister of Housing and

Urban-Rural Development, proposed a policy "combination punch" of "four cancellations, four reductions, and two

increases," and newly implemented 1 million sets of urban village renovation and dilapidated housing renovation.

Housing is the foundation of people's livelihood, and the renovation of old residential areas is not only related to the

well-being of the people but also an important engine for urban renewal. The construction of underground pipelines,

as the "inside" project of the city, is an important part of urban infrastructure construction. ERA actively responds to

national policies, and with a "product + service" model, it fully promotes urban renewal projects. Several products have

been selected for the "2022-2023 Shanghai Residential Repair Engineering Materials Industry Product Excellence

Selection List," demonstrating the responsibility and commitment of private enterprises.

ERA actively promotes urban renewal construction, balancing the warmth and depth of the city, transforming

the old city appearance, and improving the "quality" of the old city.

ERA's assistance in the renovation of Shanghai's urban renewal projects covers nearly 10 administrative districts and

over 60 neighborhoods. ERA's multi-domain products are applied in the renovation of more than 100 old residential

areas in Shanghai. The projects involve various modules such as domestic water supply, municipal drainage, electrical

protection, fire safety, and home decoration pipelines, aiming to achieve efficient water supply and rainwater and

sewage diversion through the construction and renewal of municipal pipelines, upgrading the existing drainage

system, and ensuring stable electricity supply.

Shanghai Chongming District

In the process of urban development, old residential areas face complex challenges when improving water supply and

drainage service capabilities. Most of Shanghai's residential buildings were constructed between the 1980s and 1990s,

with old drainage networks within the communities, long-term lack of maintenance, severe internal sedimentation,

and pipe ruptures.

Kra pipe has a high resistance to external pressure and can resist soil movement and displacement caused by

earthquakes, adapting to long-term pressure-bearing and deep burial scenarios. In the urban district network

renovation project of Chongming District, Shanghai, the high stability and long lifespan characteristics of ERA

Kra pipe make it an ideal choice for underground drainage networks.

Shanghai Zhabei/Xuhui District

Old residential areas' sewers, due to aging and poor drainage, lead to sewage overflow and foul odors

, greatly affecting residents' daily lives.

In the drainage network renovation projects of Bao De Road 1316 Lane Community in Zhabei District and Xi Jie

Community in Xuhui District, ERA's high impact-resistant PVC-M enhanced double-wall corrugated pipe is applied.

With excellent low-temperature impact resistance, it effectively overcomes the problems of insufficient toughness

in existing pipes, which are prone to brittle fracture under external impact.

During the project construction process, some communities have poor soil quality and many underground obstacles,

making the construction environment quite complex. ERA construction team promptly dispatches professionals to the

site, providing technical guidance on site construction based on the project volume and difficulty, ensuring project

progress.

PVC-U water supply series, PVC-U electrical series, PVC-U rainwater drainage series... ERA continues to advance, using

products as the cornerstone to assist in urban renewal.

Starting from its headquarters in Taizhou, ERA radiates nationwide, deeply practicing the people-oriented city concept,

and continuously promoting high-quality development and assisting in high-quality life for the people. To date, ERA

has assisted in thousands of urban renovation projects, radiating nearly 10 administrative districts in Guangdong,

covering over 70 neighborhoods. In addition, ERA's "super project" footsteps have never stopped, from Fuzhou,

Fujian, to Nanning, Fujian, Hefei, Anhui, Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, and more, from south to north. ERA accelerates the

conversion of new kinetic energy through urban renewal and empowers urban high-quality development with its

hard-core strength.

ERA will continue its efforts, build dreams with ingenuity, and add color to the city.
