PVC water supply pipe installation
Step 1: Preparation
1.Determine the installation location: Determine the installation location of the water supply pipe according to the design requirements and actual needs, and ensure that the layout of the water supply pipe is reasonable.
2.Determine the pipe size: Select the appropriate PVC-U water supply pipe size according to the design requirements, which is generally determined based on the flow and pressure of the water supply system.
3.Measurement and cutting: Measure the length of the PVC-U pipe according to actual needs, and use special cutting tools to cut the pipe to the required length.
Step 2: Installation method
1.Clean the pipe mouth: Use emery cloth or wire brush to clean the pipe mouth, remove dust and impurities, and ensure that the interface is smooth.
2.Lubricate the O-ring: Use lubricant to lubricate the O-ring evenly and ensure that the O-ring is not damaged or deformed.
3.Install the pipe: Insert the PVC-U water supply pipe into the joint, and ensure that the insertion depth meets the requirements, generally 1/3 to 1/2 of the pipe diameter.
4.Lock the joint: Use a wrench or pliers to gently tighten the joint to ensure that the joint is firm and be careful not to overtighten to avoid damaging the pipe.
Step Three: Testing and Acceptance
1.Check whether the connection is firm: After installation, pull the pipe hard to confirm whether the connection is firm and there is no looseness or leakage.
2.Conduct a hydraulic pressure test: Use a pressure pump to conduct a hydraulic pressure test on the water supply system to ensure that the system is working properly and there are no leaks or leaks.
3.Acceptance: According to the design requirements and relevant regulations, the installation quality of the PVC-U water supply pipe is inspected to ensure compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
Precautions:
1.Use qualified materials: Select qualified PVC-U pipes and accessories to ensure that their quality meets relevant standards and requirements to prevent pipe aging, corrosion, deformation and other problems.
2.Keep it clean: During the installation process, keep the pipe mouth and working area clean to avoid dust and impurities entering the pipe and affecting the connection quality.
3.Control the installation temperature: The installation temperature of PVC-U pipes should be controlled within the range of 5℃-40℃ to avoid adverse effects of high or low temperatures on the performance of the pipes.
4.Prevent mechanical damage: During the installation process, pay attention to avoid collision or extrusion of the pipe to avoid pipe damage and rupture.
5.Prevent sun and rain: PVC-U pipes have certain UV resistance, but long-term sun and rain will reduce the service life of the pipes. Long-term exposure to the outdoor environment should be avoided as much as possible.
